Guidelines to the Reader

The OP report is part of my online portfolio to document my projects and development. The mind-map below gives you a clear overview of the OP elements and additional material, so you can navigate using the tabs on top of each page or click continue at the bottom. Smaller graphics have a link (all links in bold words) in the associated text in order to  view them full scale.

Linked to the texts, and condensed in the supportive evidence section, you will find more detailed optional material documenting my processes and methods, giving you a deeper involvement in my work. They document my entire knowledge about economic alternatives - so feel free to explore the texts according to your personal interest and time. Enjoy reading! OP4 Structure

Feedback from previous OPs

All in all the feedback from previous Output Packets inspired and encouraged my creative and writing process, making me feel grateful for the support received – thanks to my peer reviewers and main advisor Elke Loepthien. Learning from, and integrating the critical reflections, I focused more on explaining why and how I did certain design practices, enabling the reader to follow my process easier.

Moreover, I extended the reference section to make links to external resources clear, and also to outline the development of graphics and their origins. Finally, I sought some editing and proof reading support again and decided to play around with the abstract and summary, giving it a little of a different structure and visual look, for a change.

Transforming my Relationship with Money

Output Packet 4 - Pre-Capstone Phase - Bachelor of Science - Integrative Ecosocial Design

Money flowing like a river to nourish nature and beauty

Overview

Hello everyone. This is Laura, a Bachelor associate in Integrative Ecosocial Design at Gaia University in my first year. A warm welcome to my Output Packet five. I invite you on a journey through the economic dimension of sustainability exploring our relationship with money and life. The project has been designed through the application of the project management methodology Dragon Dreaming. It is an inquiry around my interests and needs in finances and economics.

Purpose

  • Understand and reflect the money system and economic paradigm
  • Reflect and liberate my money relationship
  • Practically apply alternative economic models
  • Shift my worldview from scarcity and separation to connection and sufficiency
  • Explore ways for professional development and sustaining myself economically

Abstract

  • Project Work: Project design – dreaming, planning, doing and celebrating Describing the project process and activities following the four phases of Dragon Dreaming, including applied methods, outcomes and learnings
  • Commentary: Reflection on my pathway in GaiaU and time management during the project
  • Supportive Material: Additional material documenting the project work and un/learning experiences
  • Process Reflection: Evaluation of the project learning journey and OP creation process

While working on the project in September and October, I had some challenging times, transformative reflections and re-stimulation around money and worldview patterns. The key results are concrete steps to enhance economic sustainability and transform my thinking; an appreciative inquiry for professional development or a crowd-funding campaign. Some major un/learnings include the topics gratitude, connection, and sufficiency in my relationship with money.
