Project Flower

Why the Permaculture Flower?...

In my un/learnings, I'd like to have exposure to a wide variety of domains. The Permaculture Flower is a great framework for dividing the human catalog. I hope to dabble in each area to see what best suits me and for a better understanding of my boundaries and boundary partners. This will help when I am looking for complementary resources and business partners in areas that I have few strengths as I will better understand their processes and needs.

Zones of Project Competence and Attention

I chose to lay out my projects under "Zones of Use," recognizing that in order to address challenges at the global scale, I must first harness the competence and attention at the most local scale: in my heart, mind, and soul.
Personal Repatterning - Local Action - Meta-Tasks - Personal Repatterning...

Overview

What are the current challenges you'd like to address?

  • My emotional intelligence and life-balance
  • Food insecurity
  • Energy consumption
  • Lack of collaboration
  • Economic instability
  • Disconnection from Nature
  • Rigid education
  • Lack of biological and human diversity
  • Ecologically insensitive policy

How will you address these issues?

  • Grow diverse foods for sale--natives (80%)--and donate excess; design food forests for others' homes
  • Demonstrations using my homestead; consulting
  • Community gatherings/ events
  • Alternative economy, gift-giving
  • PDCs and re-wilding courses for youth and adults
  • Creative courses involving many types of teachers and techniques
  • Food forest, wildlife food sources and corridor
  • Involvement (selectwoman/Andover Energy Group/Northeastern Organic Farmer's Association of NH Permaculture Subcommittee

2014

This year will be chock full of new un/learnings and transitions. I seem to acquire and complete a new project every couple of weeks. I am certain this OP will quickly become outdated as projects fizzle out and new ones accumulate. This timeline below shows a few of my tasks and adventures this year....
