My Review of Spencer Nielsen's OP4

Specification:

First impressions in the specification and intro are that Spencer is very organized. Everything has a process, a methodical approach. His use of metaphors and symbolism is something I need to look upon for inspiration. I can start to tell that this will be a very well written paper.

Program design tree:

I am very impressed with the collaboration involved in his projects. I am even more impressed that he has another associate collaborating with him.

Branches in the five elements:

The symbolism here is great; I like how every day will coincide with another element, direction or meaning/intent, rather than just one skill or lecture.

Five element of permaculture farming:

This is something that I am extremely interested in. this method is something that should be replicated by everyone. I really like that he added this.

Seed code: daily rhythm:

I wish I could do this type of rhythm and I think I might like to try to do something like this as and experiment for a project. Very cool and super jealous of anyone who can do this everyday or at least a few times a week, this might be something that I will work towards.

Bio-spiritual Permaculture:

I very mush like Spencer and Billa’s collaboration, but I would be careful when refining or creating a new book on Permaculture approach not to muddle or misinterpret the original intentions. Other than that I think that what they are doing is awesome and I can’t wait to read their book.

I am very interested where he took his primitive skills course; I would love to do the same. He has a good reflection on this.

One thing that I would like to have read in more detail about was the retreat and the design of it, but maybe that stage hasn’t happened yet and it is just in the stages of conceptualization. But if there were more info I would have loved to read about it.

Skill flexing: sweet section, very fruitful. I would have loved to hear more about this even though it wasn’t necessary. Didj samples were awesome!!!!!!! The second is my favorite, especially at the points where it harmonizes.

All in all a very well made output packet with all of the required elements. I was amazed at how many metaphors and uses of detailed cultural symbols there were. I would have liked to have seen more pictures; also more detailed information of projects although not mandatory.
