Here is looking ahead with great hope and confidence!

The following pages describe my intentions with Gaia University in the year ahead, onward into possible long term future scenarios. Motivating my learning is a deep urge for ecological healing and peaceful, cooperative cultures. I seek to learn about growing plants for food and medicine as well as for ecosystem restoration. I will be creating some small urban gardens at my appartment and tending several other plots. I am drawn to a minimalistic material lifestyle and hope to explore historic and modern nomadic cultures through reading, travelling in light, low impact ways, connecting with other people interested in this way of life and doing a material possession purge. After travelling I want to return to New Brunswick or somewhere in the Maritimes (eastern Canadian provinces) in time for harvesting and mushroom season. Mycology is very exciting for me, and I want to improve my skills of identification, cultivation, sample collection and preservation. I want to use mushrooms medicinally and for mycoremediation purposes.

I have included some mind maps of my current skill flexes and some background on my motivations. I think about the year ahead in possibilities, not certainties, as I am unsettled, not sure where I will go or what I will do, and remain open to emergent opportunities.
