Radical Community Organising

Picture from solfed.org.ukThis peer section  explores the observations of my own patterns around organising, collaboration and participation and the roles and accountabilities I take on during projects.

I came to survey and analyse these because one of my goals of this output was to answer:

How can I organise more effectively and how can I support others to organise more effectively? How can I cultivate leaderful groups? How can I prioritise and focus my efforts to increase impact?

To answer this question I created the mindmaps below to assist in identifying patterns.

My observations through this process were very useful and will inform my life design for 2014. You can read them here.

Action Research

I also had further research questions related to community organising in my output packet design that I committed to exploring through:

  • Extensive reading and critical thinking around this material
  • Action learning through my own experiences as an organiser
  • Undertaking the first stages of an appreciative enquiry around radical community organising by looking for positive examples, that I can learn from.
