LIPD II - Reflections

Process Reflections

I have started writing LIPD II right after the EoY presentation in September 2013. Since then my planned projects and goals were all clear to me. then I started attending the NGO training programme and things started to change at work. It was not possible to plan anything amid all those uncertainties. It was until February that things started to take clear shape and I could start planning with confidence.

While uploading the LIPD II, I felt more relaxed in using Mahara, for example in creating pages and collections. I think the new Mahara interface provides better options than before. However using online tools is a bit challenging for me because my connection is very slow, so it takes long time sometimes to upload or edit content, and sometimes crashes all together which makes it quite frustrating. I use 3G and ADSL connections however both can’t run faster than 100 mbps in best cases. Another challenge is the power cuts for at least 9 hours a day. Although they happen at a defined schedule however it’s limiting the time I have for work during the day.

Finally I am starting to use more visual aid in my OPs, pay more attention to the word count, and improve my writing speed.
