Earthen oven documents

The documents below for the earth oven course were created by Mark Krawczyk. In the future I plan to create my own drawings of oven building steps. I asked Mark's permission to post these documents for the collective commons.

Introduction to Permaculture

Below you will find the announcement that was in the Green Mountain School of yoga mailing list a checklist and the handout I created for my Introduction to Permaculture workshop. I have since started work on creating a better handout. Below these three documents is the slideshow I presented at the course. I put the slideshow together using only my own photos.

Generation Now schedule and theme

The week long Generation Now leadership training used themes to focus each day. Being an Institue focused on Yoga and ecology they took the Yogic teaching of Yamas, ("right living" or ethical rules) and translated them into ecological principles of being. Below is the detailed schedule of the week, below that are the Eco Yama (themes of days).

Leaderful Prezi Presentation

This section discusses my exploration of Prezi as a future powerpoint style presentation tool.

During my mid-year presentation one associate used a Prezi presentation to accompany her presentation. I was impressed with this multi-media experience, so I created an account and made a presentation on Leaderful Leadership.

One of the templates in Prezi uses a brainstorm cubing technique for its outline. I decided to use this format finding it an appropriate template to explore and present Leaderful Leadership. I tried to embed the presentation in Mahara. The presentation shows up and when you click on it, it loads 75% and stops. I did a search and found others having the same issue on Mahara community forum, here. The learning curve on using Prezi is there, but it is quite user friendly. I can see myself using this presentation tool in the future, though I might have to upgrade to accommodate enough space for future presentations.

Leaderful tools

We had several courses during the Generation Now leadership training on different tools for leaders. I created a PDF of three of these tools for holistic communication and interaction. They include; The Five Points of Power, Presencing of Theory U, and Non-Violent Communication. You can dowload the document below as a PDF or scroll through it in the following presentation window. Another powerful tool offered was using S.M.A.R.T. Goals (link opens a new window).

The Living Culture of Bread

Below you can download a PDF of the booklet I made for my sourdough bread workshop or scroll through it in the presentation window below that. I had created this booklet a year prior but needed to refine my bread recipe, because I never measure. This took 4-5 bakes; recipes are difficult with sourdough because there are so many variables.

Public speaking flex

The video below is of me attempting my first poetry reading at the open Mic of Tinder Hearth Bakery in Brooksville, Maine, USA. This was an exercise to flexing my public speaking skills. Memorization is the next step, I was unprepared and signed up last minute.

The first poem was on the first page of my LIPD illustrating my yearning to know the path before me asking nature for guidance and nature's response. The second is in my OP2; this poem was an inspiration from the Northeast Permaculture Convergence in Quebec, Canada. See more of my poetry at Im-mergence blog.
