Guidelines to the Reader

The Learning Review is part of my online portfolio documenting the project work and learning experiences of my study pathway. You can navigate with the tabs on the top or click the continue button at the end of each page. The mindmap below gives a basic overview of the content and clearly outlines the core report and additional material. Feel free to further dive into anything interesting, the intention is to provide a richer context of my work.

Links to all my previous OPs, supportive material, graphics (to view smaller ones in full scale), attached documentation, and external resources are marked in bold words within the main report and condensed in the supportive evidence section. The included mindmaps explain themselves and some have an explanation for the colour code in the little note at the centre. Thanks for reading this review and please send any comments or feedback to Laura@be-the-change.de.

OP Structure

Feedback from previous OPs

I wrote this Learning Review parallel to my last project report and complete it now just a little later. Because I tried to integrate the feedback from previous OPs in OP4 and the associated review cycle it not done yet, there is no new feedback to consider.

Therefore I simply continue my journey of creating OPs, deepen my learning and give my best – as always it was a learning bliss. However, I am very much looking forward to receiving feedback for both reports and integrate that into the next part of the evolutionary spiral and the coming year with GaiaU.

Output Packet 5 - Pre-Capstone Phase - Bachelor of Science - Integrative Ecosocial Design

Specification and Overview

Welcome to the Learning Review of Laura Kästele, a BSc associate in “Integrative Ecosocial Design” at Gaia University. The LR is the last Output Packet of my first year to look back and review all my learning and project experiences as well as to give an outlook into my future pathway. Following the natural cycle of the year I applied the eight shields model as a design framework guiding me through this action learning cycle.

Purpose

  • Document my pathway, study topics and useful methods, tools and resources
  • Give an overview of my projects, outcomes, Output Packets and evaluate the impact
  • Review and harvest un/learning experiences and patterns to integrate the wisdom
  • Share the story of my transformation process, insights and learning edges

Abstract

  • Project Design: Design of the LR guided by the eight shields model and cyclical pattern in life
  • Inspiration and Planning: Share my inspiration, vision and document my study pathway
  • Action: Document the projects and learning fields in the ecological, social, economic and worldview dimension of sustainability and integral design
  • Celebration: Harvest the outcomes of my work and OP creation process
  • Wisdom and Integration: Evaluate and integrate major un/learning experience, includes journal extracts
  • Transition: Explore learning edges, transition into the future and give gratitude
  • Supportive Material: Present additional material about the process, learnings, methods and resources
  • Process Reflection: Summarize my reflections and learnings from creating this OP

It has been an incredible rich, insightful, transformative and diverse year with massive learning and personal growth – life being my teacher and learning happening every day. The review outlines my work around exploring sustainability and the story of connection in the emerging new culture. Key results are the documented projects, collection of methods and resources, skillflex development and next steps for the future. Major un/learnings happened in the fields of design, leadership, project and time management or worldview transformation.

Great job Laura.  I am truly grateful to have reviewed your OP at the perfect moment for myself.  I am about to embark on the design stage for my OP 5 and this was a gift to see one executed so well.  I learned quite a bit about design and am inspired by your creative drawings and inclusion of many different types of media into the OP.  Thanks for the inspiration and congratulations on a wonderful year of learning and growth.

My PoDAPO self review, I used the feedback form four time this month and feel how this deepens my understanding and ability to use it effectively... great learning area for my personal and project development as well as preparation for the advising training.

My PoDAPO peer review for Liam and his OP 3 "Land of milk and honey", also attached at the front page of his report. And another feedback loop ... yeah Smile
