PATHWAY REFLECTION
This section evaluates the following aspects of my learning pathway:
1. Life Update
2. Pathway Tracking
3. Participation Record
4. Managing Time and Promises
5. Project integration
1. Life Update
At the time of this writing I am well into a year of extensive growth. I've been systematically raising my public profile in preparation for transitioning back into full-time professional life after graduation. This has included activities ranging from life coaching and organizational development consulting to creating and running an ecological design course for popular education. I have received excellent feedback in all of these areas, along with enough constructive criticism to keep improving. Along the way I've been building a small Airbnb business and taking care of a number of bureaucratic and administrative needs for my extended family, which included a work-filled but rewarding trip to Spain. I was fortunate to have both my children home for a good portion of the summer and, amazingly, we all got along! Finally, I capped off my summer with my fifth trip to Burning Man, which continues to provide unexpected and magical opportunities for adventure and discovery. All I need now is to crank out three more OPs and two presentations in the next 90 days to meet my goals for graduation.
2. Pathway Tracking
In my Capstone OP1B, delivered in February of 2019, I presented a timeline for completion of my program by November of 2019. I revised this timeline on July 17, 2019 as the approval process for my LIPD took longer than I anticipated. Today, September 3, 2019 I find I am about one month behind my best estimate from July. The creation of this OP took much longer than anticipated as I indulged in a deeper study of the subject matter than I had originally planned. Regardless, I am still on track to graduate by the end of the calendar year and this will be satisfactory for my goals.
Regarding content, thus far my Capstone pathway has involved a lot of self analysis and planning (L&CR and LIPD). It has been rewarding to finally dive into some hard content, and this OP is the first of a series of three which I believe will work together to present
3. Participation Records
I am presently on track to meet my participation requirements. Please click the following link for a document tracking my participation:

4. Managing Time and Promises
Time and promise management have been on an evolutionary curve for me throughout my time at Gaia U. As I've gotten more selective about what I agree to and improved my renegotiation skills, prioritizing clear communication over meting agreements and deadlines that don't serve me, my stress around managing time and promises has declined markedly.
With regard to this OP there's been a tension from the start between meeting my self-imposed timeline for graduation and learning as much as I needed to about this topic to identify and present the "correct" information. I chose to prioritize learning over meeting arbitrary deadlines and the outcome was beneficial to me in that I had the time to do the writing I actually wanted to do.
In order to accurately track my deliverables and progress I've created and continue to maintain this written timeline (click that link).
