5 positive ways to guide
1) Positive reinforcement: encouraging diserable behaviors
2)Ignoring: ignoring the undesirable behaviors AS long as there is no harm being done to self, others, or property.
3)Redirection: Modeling appropriate language and behaviors that they are currently doing inappropriately.
4)Cool off: Use on ages 3 and up, 1 minute per child or as long as THEY feel like they need. Give this to them as an option to reflect on behaviors, and feelings
5)Guidance: Help them set goals of inappropriate behaviors. I.e. a student who hits a lot comes to a goal of using words more.
