Conclusion
My hope is on reading this OP, you have gained insights on where I have been and where I am headed. This OP has limited graphic and visual designs expressing the difficulties with technology, but more, the fact that it was mostly based on writing/storytelling and researching makes it a bit challenging to visualise. The best visual form of my thoughts and findings is the blog!
We should have noticed that there is a constant repetition of some words/phrases like self-development. Please note this repetition is done on purpose to lay emphasis on the concept and to pull the readers attention to start seeing self-development from various perspectives. The same level of emphasis referred to above has been made on the annotated resource review section to ease replication.
I invite you to continue exploring how we could use our websites (or once it is created), to mirror some of the patrix distresses in us, also reflected in our communities for a paradigm shift.
Please take some time to look at some of the additional resources.
Output Process Reflection
I had gone through my LIPD way easier than the OP2. I had said the same during my LIPD that "my LCR was easier than my LIPD". The realisation of this re-occuring sentence brings me to understand that it is not the content of the Output packet, but the circumstances surrounding its development. I was more stable in my LCR, unstable in LIPD and more unstable in OP2. As the years go buy, life happens and I get involved in more activities; with the deepest desire to cut down on workload. I also realise that in the previous year, I had developed more skills making me capable to do more. I had contracted the malaria parasite and was sick for more than a month, unable to do anything toward the development of this OP. Then came the job, Secretary for GEN Africa. During the GEN-Africa meeting in Sekem-Egypt, I carried out some interviews and once home, I was nourished with ideas to start writing blog posts. I carried a note pad with me everywhere, kept a diary and wrote ideas into Mac note every time an idea crossed my mind. Now ready to work extremely hard in 4 days to submit my OP2 on February 1, I received an urgent email from Tommy, Gaia U's Director of Operations saying it was my last In-Program month. Not sure what to do, I blamed myself for misunderstanding/mis-intepreting the instructions. Then I went for a program pause to buy time and in turn figure out the next steps for my pathway. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to still submit my OP. Everything being equal, I took the opportunity despite the countless electricity cuts and limited internet connectivity. I refused to give in to the challenges, so every time I finished developing a slot, I gave it a thick and celebrated.
Un/learning Commentary
It took me more than the required time frame I had set for myself to submit this OP. I had copied some of the pages from my LIPD that had some relationship with this OP. That way, it was easy to make reference to what I had set out for my OP2 and work strategically toward integrating the 2 and coming up with a 3rd.
I had my OP submitted under very challenging internet/technological conditions that I had no time to edit some of the pages. It was 10 days after OP submission date and I had not submitted my URL because the connections won't let me. Throughout this time, I stayed focused on my motivation. Few days later, I started putting in more information. It was quite helpful to send my reviewer an update of my process. I must apologise to the reviewer who might have been delayed or held down by an unfinished OP.
And we continue with life's happenings! I fell sick and was at home for a month. I was low on energy and did nothing but sit around. During this time, I would push myself to connect with the peer mentorship group, which kept me in the loop and continuously enrolled my commitment to my pathway. I immediately enrolled Clive Michael Justice as a local support person. This has worked quite well, Clive now tracks my promises, edits my blog posts and grants me coaching sessions. I had also updated my main Advisor, Ariane Burgess on these happenings.
Journal Reflection
This OP has benefited from journal entries: mind maps, pictures, attachments, etc. Most of these journals were created in my note book while traveling around and others during retreats and meditative moments.
Due to technological challenges, I have not been able to enter these journals into Mahara but used them wisely; some have developed into posts, and others like the information on my profile is being edited as an article for my blog.
