Process reflections

How did it go

This OP was produced at a very difficult time, during April and May while I was very busy at work. although the original plan was to submit this OP by 1st of May, a month ago, yet I believe that managing to fit this OP work within a hectic work schedule, combined with power cuts and connectivity problems can be considered an achievement.

Another challenge was matching the required word count. I usually tend to write in brief because I’m not sure if the reader is interested in all the details. It gets more difficult if the readers are on the other side of the world. For this OP in particular I took more risk than usual.

The peer review process proved to be quite helpful in this regard as it allows me to see my work in the eyes of another, also requires me to go back to it and see it from a distance, which was not possible while being immersed in the process of preparing it.

One thing was helpful is that I finally managed to come to office on a daily basis after having to work from home for about a year for various reasons. This allowed me to finish a big bulk of work task, and had a bit extra time later on to work on this OP.

What’s highly satisfying about this OP for me is that it speaks of acceptable level of achievement. It lays a good foundation for the coming work, and hopefully the coming Ops will bring more developments and important achievements. There will be some beautiful surprises to come so stay tuned !
