On this page I reflect on my dreams and goals I had in the Learning Intentions and Pathway Design (OP 1A). I share my main interests as well as my long-term goals.

My Dream

My big dream is to achieve global change through many local actions towards ecological regeneration and social justice. I myself want to contribute in different ways to this dream by getting connected to nature again, building my own permaculture farm or family homestead (inspired by Anastasia), giving courses about different environmental issues and solutions, keeping bees in a natural way and finding new (or old) ways of self-directed learning.
It is my dream to inspire many other people who will then implement other things that will contribute to eco-social regeneration.

My dream for the first year was to get started with some projects I was interested in and gain various skills in the field of permaculture.

LIPD and Plans

In the LIPD I decided to work on three different projects (soil, bees and natural building) at the same time. I outlined my learning intentions quite clear in the LIPD, but lacking following implementation steps. Furthermore it would have been better to start with just one project and really focus on it.

Nevertheless I had many ideas, also for other projects, and felt a little overwhelmed by all the possibilities. Through my lack in project management and design thinking I was not clear about how to manage decisions, the design project work and set specific goals.

Inspiration

Inspiration from the year

  • Self-directed education inspired by family Wild (Ecuador)
  • Anastasia books (changes the worldview and helps to feel connected with the Earth)
  • Deep Ecology by Joanna Macy
  • Power of mind and thoughts (human thoughts create and influence the reality)
  • Water: properties, storage of information, consequences of treatment (e.g., pumping)
