In the phase Develop, I show our implementation plan for the next years. It is a pattern plan without any details. But through clarifying our priorities we know what we need to design soon. Each project we want to implement will go through an appropriate detailed design process in the future.

In the following document I summarize for each project the key goal and how the goal is connected to a permaculture principle.
Then I show Next Steps for each project: GOALS AND HOW THEY ARE CONNECTED TO THE PERMACULTURE PRINCIPLES & NEXT STEPS
Priorities
1. Herb project including the development of our herb field and the building of a greenhouse
2. Contour line design; measuring the contours and clearing the areas from brushwood, lay the foundation for paths
3. Vegetable garden: Enlarge the vegetable garden
Next Steps: Rest of the property
- Start design for the area for children
- Dig a new pond (also for swimming)
- Install a cistern and water tank
- Terrace the area beyond the existing terrace
- Plan an earth cellar
- Renovate pond to be a natural sewage treatment plant
- Plant bee-friendly plants in the Insect meadow
- create two well-planned biotopes
Next Steps: Herb Project
- Find business partners and negotiate products, amounts, and prices for 2020
- Choose species to focus upon in 2020
- Extend herb field: remove existing vegetation, cover with mulch, terracing (partly)
Herb Business

Completion date: 19 Dec 2019
Make a plan on how to dry herbs in summer. Enlarge our drying cupboard.
Decide on what tea to focus on and choose herbs for the tea
How many tea packages we want to sell? What amount of herbs is realistic to grow next year?
How many square meters do we need to plan for our beds? How many plants do we need? What herbs need what microclimate? Measure beds for next season
Decide from what species to grow young plants and which to buy. What herbs can we saw out in autumn?
