What design method did I choose?

I’ve used the guidelines from Gaia University on ‘Guidance for the Learning Review’.  With the elements requested for the learning review in mind I also utilized the PoDAPO (Presentation and Organization, Design, Action Learning Skills, Process skills, and Outcomes) criteria and made sure my design reflected it.

What Design framework did I choose?

GASADIE (Goals articulation, survey, analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation) was the framework I used in combination with a more simple action learning spiral to get past each step, do, reflect, think, and design.

Goals articulation-

My goal for this Output is to summarize my Gaia University Pathway.

Survey-

I revisited all of my Output Packets so I could summarize them all within the big picture of my entire pathway.

Analysis-

Having two years worth of outputs, it was easily broken down into foundation building in my first year and then building upon that foundation in my second year.

Design-

Utilizing the PoDAPO criteria and the ‘Guidance for doing outputs’ I compared these with several other Learning Reviews of Gaia U Associates.  I pulled out the elements I wanted to highlight for myself and then adjusted accordingly to make everything fit into what was expected of me.

Implementation-

My goal is to take readers on the journey of my Gaia University pathway.  I’ve demonstrated my accomplishments within Gaia University, aha moments, learning/unlearning, my next steps for each project and the professional, personal results of those projects.

Evaluation-

Once I had most of my ideas for this output down on paper I was able to organize it within the framework I chose to use.  I had to do some editing and rearranging of the elements to create a flowing document.

What i learned about design.

Design is something I’m very involved in.  Before Gaia I had never really thought about designing my design process.  This is a new idea to me and I’m glad that I have been encouraged to do so.   I’ve learned that through designing the actual design process, I am able to step back from the design itself and work on the best way to make it happen.
