Reflection of Input
So far my involvement can be divided in two phases. I used 4 questions to describe a clearer vision and goals for this out put package. For each question I will be responding from a personal, professional and patrix point of view.
1. What went well?
Personal

The relationship with my family was great. I was able to engage them in project and they were supportive and provided resources, ideas and feedback. They communicated their excitement and satisfaction with the work done.

I felt very good with the work I accomplished.

I developed great relationships with the workers and neighbors of the farm.
Professional
-
Applied practical skills I have learned in the past that included: Composting, landworks, construction, agriculture,biochar and education

Developed good relationships with other institutions and professionals

Accomplish the goals given to me by my supervisor

I was able to teach others about more appropriate methods like: composting, huegel culture, biochar, mulching and erosion control-Read this anecdote

Create a more conscious mindset for the workers and my family
2. What was challenging?
Personal

Commute to the farm in the first phase that unfortunately ended with a car accident
-
The living conditions during the development of the 2nd phase were hard
-
Keeping up with gaia with low connectivity
-
Personal conflict of my attachment to the project and the future transition I was deciding on making to move to Los Angeles
Professional
-
Not feeling knowledgeable in applying design tools that I have learned from Gaia U
-
Often the workers needed much supervision and had the pattern to do things their way
-
Been unable to design a base map of the farm

Breaking the unsustainable paradigms that workers and institutions have acquired and proving leading them
3. Long term goals and visions?
Personal

I envision our family getting together in the farm harvesting fresh fruit, cooking and enjoying the lake. Telling stories of how the farm has developed

I want to keep engaging with my family in the development of the farm
-
Keep building important relationships with the neighboring communities in the farm
Professional
-
Apply different design tools like: Kolb Cycle, Spiral Dynamics, O’Bredimet and Go-Sadimet, Eisenhower Matrix and Scrums and Pauses.

Improve this output package as a portfolio template to demonstrate the work that I can do
-
Study and develop more specifically the future opportunities for the farm

Include the neighbors Hector and Enei in the development of any project

Make this a demonstration for other landowners to replicate ideas

If the eco lodge becomes a reality, engage with other projects like SERES, La Ecoversidad and Gaia U
-
Be entirely of the grid and be able to sustain the farm from its own resources
4. What are the next achievable steps?
Personal

I want to keep in touch with my family in Puerto Rico about the farm and how everything is developing

I want to make an effort to keep my work and friend relationship with the neighbors Hector and Enemy

Keep motivated on the project and dedicate time and possible ideas, stay active!
Professional

I am reviewing the Ecosocial designer tools so that I can apply them. I am using my skill flex to have Grifen Hope mentor me
-
I want to improve my drawing skills and get a base map for the farm. I want to include my uncle Tio Jaime in this process
-
Be aware of any new skills that I keep learning and connect them to them the farm
