Final thoughts

" We don't inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children" Native American Song

Conclusions

I listened to a Gaia U latina radio call on Dragon Dreaming and heard the shocking statistic that only 1 out of 1000 dreams become a reality. The speaker, Ronald Santizo, pointed out that the major cause of this statistic is the abstention to share our dreams. His talk fueled my intention to “inspire humans to share a dream with our community, our family or perhaps a friend.” The idea can be as simple as designing a garden or or as ambitious as creating a sustainability center for thousands of students. Regardless of its complexity, what I want to foster is for people to get together and create.

I will like to acknowledge Don Ramon for sharing his dream with my grandfather, Lolo. His request enriched my uncle's dream of becoming a successful engineer. Thanks to them I am now  able to create a dream of my own.

I am finishing this out put package with an Anecdote Lolo left us. I think it demonstrates very well the type of man he was and how he taught us to believe in our dreams and celebrate our accomplishments.

One day I was sweating and working hard to plant a breadfruit tree. All of sudden a neighbor stopped and said to me “ old man, why are you planting a “pana” tree?   By the time it produces you will not be a live to harvest its fruits. My grandpa quickly and bluntly responded, “if our ancestors would have thought like you, we would not have been able to eat any of the fruits we enjoy today.”

* Lolo indeed ate fruits from this tree
