Title & Summary
Welcome, everyone to my second content related Output Packet (OP) of my second year in the GaiaU Bachelor Degree Program "Integrative Ecosocial Design"!
This OP documents the long process of our search for a home. A place where we can realize our dreams and implement our concept and vision. It describes the development of our preliminary concept to design a holistic life-and-permaculture-project at the place where we feel "home". On a practical level, it shares my first experiences with bees and the related topics.
To structure this OP I used the permacultural method of "Zoning" and at the end, I present the main results of my project work.
Purpose:
- documenting our process searching for land and sharing the outcome
- designing a concept for our future project
- sharing my first experiences with keeping bees
- showing that I start to engage on a professional level
- sharing my blog articles about bees
Abstract:
Commentary: Pathway Management
Project Overview: The method of "Zoning" to structure my process with two results in the end.
Zoning: Describing information that is relevant for the respective zone.
Result: Sharing the main results of my project work.
Supporting Evidence: Additional material related to my project work and my personal un/learning journey.
Incoperation of Feedback
Feedback I implemented after I received the Peer Review for this OP:
- run all my texts through Grammarly
- write a short reflection on the skill-flex development
- write a section about how long the OP did to create
- reflecting on Professional Development
- post the video of our content call in the Supporting Evidence, not just the link
- look for an easy tool to translate our blog
Optional Feedback from previous OPs I tried to incorporate:
Required Steps:
- Ensure sufficient proof-reading and editing to improve language and writing quality.
- Add field analysis, critical thinking, context transformation and your contribution next time.
- Focus on professional development, skill-building and achievable next steps in the chosen field of your work in at least one of the next two project focused OPs.
- Make sure to complete the feedback cycle and your peer's OP review is added to the OP.
Recommended Steps:
- Track and show evidence thinking, experimentation, and application of whatever design process, methods, and principles you use from start to finish of the project.
- Participation in the GaiaU community, contribution, peer support, and project collaboration.
For the next OP:
- new writing style (editing and skills)
- OP design process explanation (also context, implementation, methods, action steps/phases)
For my Project
- more ongoing tracking throughout the implementation process
- documentation and expansion of design skills
- critical comparison and thinking and analysis
- documentation of actions and changes (tracking)
- more active experimentation
- context transformation
- not just think about the change, but make it happen
- competence in the implementation of thinking
- tracking of experimentation
- gaining enough knowledge/skills to go beyond personal change towards making a transformation in field/context happen
- collaborative projects (Although this project was quite personal in nature, I want to encourage you to reach out, collaborate and share how you work together with other people in the projects/fields of your interest.)
- connecting to experts in the field
- building competence and capacity to then, later on, take active leadership and mentoring positions
- increase the reach and strategic impact of your blog
- attention to professional development
- creating new knowledge
- I would like one out of the three project OPs to have a strong focus on professional competence and skill building.
Guidelines for Reading (optional)
For an overall ORIENTATION please see the TABLE OF CONTENTS above.
It is not necessary to read the OP in its presented order, but if you do so, it is easier to follow and understand.
Most of my DOCUMENTS are shared through Dropbox. If you are logged in to Dropbox, you can see them directly.
Otherwise, click the button "Continue to document". All documents are linked directly in the text as well as in the section
Supporting Evidence. There you can view all of my additional documents.
To enlarge the PICTURES just click them. They will open in Flickr.
All texts or Mindmaps marked with 'OPTIONAL' include further information and are not necessary to follow the Main Report.
To NAVIGATE in this OP, use the tab on the top or click "CONTINUE REPORT" at the end of each page to go to the next page.

Fantastic project OP with diverse use of design models and tools for a permaculture zoning life and place design. Glad you found a new place for your family to live and to implement a permaculture project!
Here is the pro review and PoDAPO evaluation for Carolina.
